Generators

Year-round, Delaware County and Montgomery County residents are likely to experience power outages due to tropical storms, lightning strikes, or other issues. Sometimes those outages can last for days, or just long enough for the food in your fridge to spoil. The best way to protect your home and property from being damaged from outages is to install a generator.

Which generator is right for my home?

Depending on the size of your home, your needs, and your budget, you have several options to choose from when considering a home generator.

Portable Generator

If you have a limited budget, and need to power a few major appliances like a refrigerator or your air conditioner, a portable generator is a great investment. Having it installed with a transfer switch is highly recommended for safety and ease of use. This will give you the ability to power things up via your circuit breaker panel instead of having to use extension cords. Portable generators come in an array of sizes, depending upon your power needs. Portable generators are available in several sizes; KNORR Electrical contractor can advise you and help determine the best size for your needs.

Standby, Whole-House Generator

All it takes is a few seconds after an outage for the whole-house standby generator to kick in. A standby generator is permanently installed outside the home, and typically runs on propane or natural gas. If the power goes out, the generator will turn on automatically and supply power to your home in moments. These generators also are available in different sizes, and we can help you determine which is best for your home

KNORR Electrical Contractor has extensive experience with helping homeowners choose the right generators for their needs. We are licensed, insured, and qualified to handle any electrical project, no matter the size.
